White Mountain Regional Medical Center

Kelsea Henry was placed as the chief financial officer of White Mountain Regional Medical Center in Springerville, Arizona, a 21-bed, non-profit critical access hospital with a Level IV trauma center and certification in pediatric emergency medicine. The hospital is rated four out of five stars by Hospital Compare, and its HCAHPS scores place it 12th out of 66 Arizona hospitals, which include large, metropolitan facilities. In her role, Kelsea will direct and supervise the financial management of the organization, directly overseeing hospital and clinic accounting, revenue cycle, and purchasing, and will serve on the senior management team, playing an integral role in ensuring the ongoing strategic development and performance of the organization.

Kelsea comes to White Mountain from Memorial Regional Health in Craig, Colorado, a 25-bed critical access hospital district with a multi-specialty medical clinic and rehabilitation center. As chief financial officer, she stabilized a challenging financial situation, implementing policies and procedures to improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the organization and improving the budgeting process through education. She also oversaw a major software and application implementation project for EPIC, Multiview GL, and UltiPro HRIS and Payroll systems, and assisted in the move of staff and assets to a newly constructed medical office building.

Previously, Kelsea served as controller for Mountain Family Health Centers in Glenwood Springs, Colorado; as forms coordinator and transcription clerk for Valley View Hospital in Glenwood Springs; and as business administrator for Genquest, Inc. in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She began her career in the U.S. Army as an executive administrative assistant and program manager.

Kelsea holds a bachelor’s degree in healthcare management and an MBA in finance from Colorado Technical University, and is currently pursuing her Doctor of Healthcare Administration through Medical University of South Carolina. She also holds a certification in health law and leadership from Mitchell Hamline School of Law and is a member of Healthcare Financial Management Association.

Quick Leonard Kieffer’s Derek Castaneda and Mary Sanderson led the search to recruit Kelsea to White MountainRegional Medical Center, where her duties will begin on February 24, 2020.
