Chief Human Resource Officer
Position: Chief Human Resource Officer
Location: Omaha, NE
Children's Hospital & Medical Center is a non-profit, independent children's hospital and medical center located in Omaha, Nebraska that has been caring for children since 1948. It is the only full-service pediatric specialty healthcare center in Nebraska, with patients referred from throughout the region for the treatment of complex or unusual diseases in addition to pediatric primary care. The mission of Children's is to improve the life of every child through dedication to exceptional clinical care, research, education, and advocacy, and its vision is to be the global leader for children's health. No child in need of medical care is ever turned away due to the inability to pay.
Children's is in the process of building a new, 460,000-square-foot inpatient tower, which will be called the Hubbard Center for Children. The tower will house more than 100 new patient beds and will allow for expanded clinical capabilities, including a cardiac care unit, enhanced surgical space, and an oncology unit, among other areas of expansion; planned areas of future growth include neuro-oncology, enhanced radiology and pathology services, and an expanded pharmacy. The Hubbard Center is scheduled to open in 2021.
In addition to providing pediatric care, Children's is a pedatric teaching and research institution. Children's has a strong, decades-long history of collaboration with University of Nebraska Medical Center and Creighton University. Children's, UNMC, and Creighton University offer a unique joint residency program combining two university departments and the freestanding children's hospital.
