Michael Kieffer has served clients in the healthcare industry for over 30 years.  After founding and leading his previous firm, Witt/Kieffer, he channeled his energy and skill into The Kieffer Group, specializing in healthcare governance.  With this increased expertise, he joined Quick Leonard Kieffer as Chairman, and once more serves clients in an executive search capacity.

Mike has worked with over 500 organizations, governing boards and Chief Executive Officers in his career, providing him an exceptionally broad range of perspective and insight into the critical importance of having the right executive in the right position at the right time with the right board thus ensuring an organization’s success.  As testimony to his reputation for excellence, over 350 boards have engaged Mike to assist in their search for Chief Executive Officers.

His portfolio also includes personal, hands-on experience in serving on multiple not-for-profit boards including major tertiary centers, Foundation Boards, a National Health System nominating committee and various boards of social organizations.  Most recently, Mike has served as a member of the Board of Children’s Memorial Medical Center in Chicago and John C. Lincoln Health Network in Phoenix.

With a Liberal Arts degree from Marist College, a Master’s in Management from Central Michigan University and post-graduate work in Organizational Development, Mike has authored a number of articles and teaches graduate courses in Leadership, Governance and Strategic Planning at several universities in the Chicago and Phoenix areas.
